PGAV to work with Patriots Point Foundation

Planning company PGAV Destinations is to work with the Patriots Point Foundation to provide a Museum Master Plan for Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, US.

Patriots Point is one of the Charleston region's major attractions, featuring the legendary aircraft carrier USS Yorktown and the Congressional Medal of Honor Museum.

PGAV's plan will focus on the utilisation of the 36 acres surrounding the ship as a nationally prominent cultural destination.

The announcement comes shortly after the official opening of PGAV's Cheetah Hunt project at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Florida, US.

Florida's first triple-launch coaster, the Cheetah Hunt uses state-of-the-art technology to deliver three adrenalin-fueled surges of speed inspired by the world's fastest land animal.

These propel riders up the 102ft (31m) Windcatcher Tower, down into four subterranean trenches, over Busch Gardens' historic Skyride, around a rocky canyon rushing with whitewater currents, and through a heartline roll inversion.

Cheetah Hunt's 4,429ft (1,350m) of track holds the record as Busch Gardens' longest coaster, with its 13 acre footprint making it the most expansive thrill-ride in the park's history.
